Social Networking
Facebook - if you aren't on facebook you know someone that is. Facebook is a great way to connect with friends, old and new. With a facebook account you can post "status updates" that allow others to know "what's on your mind". You can also post pictures, play games and more. With Facebook, you choose who can see your inforamtion, and how much they can see. You choose if you want someone to be your friend which allows them to see all updates, information, photos etc. You can set your privacy settings so that all you post can be seen by friends only, friends of friends, or everybody on facebook. We recommend friends only but some may want to share with friends of friends. We don't ever recommend opening for everyone to see your information. Facebook also allows for private communication via messages or online chatting. Be aware of what you post because it will get around so make sure it is really worth sharing. Facebook also has lots of causes, fan pages, and groups. Causes allow you to stay updated on a non-profit close to your heart. You can even make financial contributions right on line to the cause. Fan pages allow you to keep up with that favorite singing group or tv show. You can communicate with other "fans" and stay updated on what is happening. Groups allow you to create a group of common interest like a high school or church group. A great way to keep everyone updated. (www.facebook.com)
